What is the expected service life of PROMAT Supalux®?

Etex Building Performance Limited's passive fire protection products and associated components, when these are supplied by our Company and when installed designed, built and unaltered in accordance with the conditions and procedures in the Promat Fire Protection Handbook and Promat technical literature, specification documents, associated CAD drawings and any specific technical recommendations made, shall be durable and free from defects due to faulty manufacturing or factory workmanship.

We would recommend that Promat Supalux® should be installed by a 3rd party accredited fire protection contractor, certified as competent to install products in the specific fire protection application.

The assumed intended working life of Promat Supalux® is 25 years but will be dependent on the application and the prevailing environment in which the products are installed (as per the definitions below from the Promat Supalux® ETA 07/0176).

Internal use (EAD 350142-00-1106, type Z2)

Internal use high humidity (EAD 350142-00-1106, type Z1)

External use semi exposed (EAD 350142-00-1106, type Y)

Planned maintenance
Annual documented inspections should be carried out as part of the normal maintenance plan for the building and any damaged boards should be replaced and fixed in the same way as in the original specification.
