It is possible to suspend a secondary ceiling below a SUPALUX® suspended membrane ceiling, providing that the grid and hanger system has been designed specifically to bear the load of the additional ceiling fixed below the grid. The hangers for the secondary ceiling should be fixed through the SUPALUX® board and into the grid above. We recommend using a company such as ‘Protektor’, who can design the grid and hangers such that they can take additional loads in both the cold and hot state. Their contact details are as follows:
