Can the SUPALUX® Self-supporting Membrane Ceiling be fixed into a stud partition at the perimeter?
A SUPALUX® Self-supporting Ceiling cannot be fixed into a stud partition at the perimeter.
The perimeter channels for the SUPALUX® Self-supporting Ceiling should be fixed back into a solid, load-bearing element of the building construction that’s of equal or greater fire performance to the ceiling system, on all four sides. This is typically a concrete/blockwork/brickwork/masonry wall, but can also be suitably fire-protected structural steelwork.
