How do I provide 240 minutes fire stopping that would be suitable to be installed around HV cables from a UKPN substation into next door space?
from Etex To provide fire stopping and blast protection to the opening in a UKPN transformer room a combination of two products supplied by Etex are required;
- The void is filled using PROMAT FSI SILVERSEAL HS COMPOUND
2. A pattress of DURASTEEL® is then fixed over the Compound and cut tightly around the cables and overlapped on all sides by 100mm and mechanically anchored to the brick work.
This work must be carried out by a DURASTEEL® Licenced Installer. They can assess the actual on site conditions and position of the cables and finalise the detail. Some additional support may be required for the cables each side of the opening.
DURASTEEL® is only supplied and installed through our Licensed Installers. For contact details, click here.
